Just When I thought Everyone Sucked...

Today I was shocked when a kind stranger offered to "be my brake" as I took the two kiddies out of the shopping cart. I was at a local grocery store where for some reason the parking lot is on about a 45 degree slope. Just as I was trying to wedge the cart between the car that was parked ridiculously close my car and the passenger door, this kind man offered to keep my children from careening into the other side of the valley. It was so nice, that I thought to myself "good karma to you sir." Then he hopped into his Lexus and drove away and I thought, "It looks like you've already got it."

And Two...Sort of

For the first year of Finn's life we took a monthly photo with the same bear in the same chair to track his growth and visually capture how he changed so quickly. After he turned one we slowed the photos down to twice a year and now that he's two, well I've been desperately trying to get the "two year" picture for three months now. This is what I've gotten so far...he might be three before we get a good picture.

If You Don't Look Good. We don't Look Good.

Because I couldn't decide if I should try braids or a pony tail and our regular stylist (Ms. Amy Karcher) has been out of town, we tried Cookie Cutters. And I must say that Vidal Sassoon may have more style, but they don't have cool car chairs and they don't give out suckers and balloons with every hair cut. Over all it was a big hit with Finn and I was only a little shocked when at the end he looked like he could try out for the latest boy band.

You've Come A Long Way Baby

We said goodbye (for now) to the Little Gym. When I started taking Finn he couldn't even walk. During the "warm ups" on the big red mat I would carry him around with me. By the time we left Little Gym, Finn was much to busy to stick around during the warm ups. He would head straight for the gym equipment and start exploring on his own. This video sums it...Finn, you've come a long way baby!

Is This Really the Place?

Since we have lived Utah for nearly 13 years now, we finally decided to take a tour of This is the Place Monument and find if it's true or not. We saw goats, sheep, bunnies, chicks, baby pigs and ponies. We got to ride a super fun train. We met a blacksmith that was also a sheriff and even had an authentic Pioneer cheese burger. While we weren't any closer to knowing if this is really the place or not by the end of our tour, we sure were tired.

Monkey See Monkey Do

Last fall we had to have a tree removed from our backyard and apparently the crew removed a bit of our sprinkler system as well. While Brad was fixing the damage, his little helper decided to lend him a hand.I am confident that between the two of them we should have things fixed just before the snow flies.

Six in the Mix

It's hard to believe that six whole months have past since Harper was born. She has grown into such a sweet baby. She has a quick smile and has already developed a knack for tormenting her older brother. She has her two bottom front teeth and seems to grow a little more every day. She sits up, rolls over and is really trying to figure out how to get up and crawl, walk or run. I thought I would never say it, but I do wish she would stay like this maybe not forever, but at least a little longer.
