Four Keeps

After four months, we have officially decided to keep Harper. It was touch and go for a while, but she's actually a keeper. We're not sure if her acid reflux medicine is working or if it is a miracle from on high, but she's stopped crying for the majority of the day and has become a little charmer. She laughs out loud and is desperately trying to sit up on her own. Whenever she's laying down she does little baby crunches to try and pull her self up. But her best trick of all is when she sleep for seven hours at a time at night.

Two Sweet Peas in a Pod

I think Finn is starting to enjoy his little sister. At first he mostly wondered why she cried all of the time, but he is coming around. Today while Harper was lying on the blanket, Finn kept bringing her a soccer ball. He would carefully put the ball down by her foot and then he would pick up her foot and have her kick the ball. Each time he would cheer, "Good job Harper!" Later he tried to feed her popcorn and give her a drink from his sippy cup.

Hasta La Vista Crib!

After months of anticipation and trepidation, the crib is officially out of Finn's room and the big boy bed remains. It was a big day. Finn helped Brad dissemble the crib and move his new bed. The first nap was a little interesting. No longer held captive by the rails of the crib Finn took the opportunity to get in and out of bed about 50 times. Much to our surprise, the 51st time we put him back into his bed he stayed and actually fell asleep.

Two-ray! It's Finn's Birthday!

Two years have seemed like a blur of diapers, wipes, lack-of-sleep, throw-up, laughter, tears, runny noses and running feet. I could not have imagined the many changes my life (and body) would make in just 24 short months.

I feel so lucky to celebrate Finn's birthday and share the past two years with such an sweet, funny, enthusiastic bundle of energy. There truly has not been a dull moment since he arrived. And I am guessing he will keep us on our toes for many years to come.

Holy Three Batman!

There were some doubts, but we did make it to three months. Harper is doing much better with her acid reflux and therefor we are doing much better. We often comment that now that she's not screaming for 23 out of 24 hours, she's pretty darn cute. She smiles and coos when you talk to her and she loves to watch her big brother run around the house. I don't know her weight, but she's got the cutest little cheeks around.
