Motherhood is a long road. Lucky for me, I have two little darlings and one handsome man on the journey with me.

It's a sticky situation
Ho, Ho, Ho! We recently had some photos taken of Finn and the photographer had the idea to give him a little Candy Cane and Santa hat. It turned out to be a very sticky (and cute) idea. Finn wasn't sure about the taste of Peppermint and the hat only stayed on long enough to grab a couple of photos. But it was just enough time for him to end up sticky from head to toe.

Two for One...Day that is.
Finn had an all day play-date with Olivia last Friday. I was a little nervous about being responsible for two munchkins at the same time, but we had a great day. Here are a few of the highlights. (The low lights didn't make it to film - thank goodness.)

Eight is Great
Finn turned eight months on Saturday. The greatest miracle of all is that finally after eight long months he is starting to sleep through the night. He has two bottom teeth and is working on one for the top. One of his favorite activities is scooting around on the floor until he finally reaches whatever he's not supposed to play with. Even when he is surrounded by baby-friendly toys, somehow he manages to crawl over the heap and head straight for something he shouldn't have. It looks like it might be time to think about baby proofing. And as you can see from the outtakes below, the monthly photos are getting a little harder to capture.

Nap vs. Peek-a-Boo
Today when Finn was supposed to be napping he discovered Max laying beneath his crib. I think Max thought that he was "on guard," but Finn thought it was hysterical. He kept peeking over his bumper pad to see Max.
A good mom would have put Finn back to sleep, but I thought it was so cute that I had to stop and take pictures. Finn will not take a nap again (most likely tomorrow), but who knows when he will play peek-a-boo with Max again.

The Great Carve-Off
Pumpkin in the Patch
Lucky Number 7
Finn celebrated his seventh month birthday with the arrival of his first tooth (it arrived three days after his birthday.) He weighs 16lbs and can sit up on his own. He loves to sit up and then dive forward to grab his toys. Right now one of his favorite toys is his singing Halloween Tree that Aunt Laural gave him. He's also starting to become mobile by doing what I like to call the centipede. (He must have learned that from his break-dancing dad.)
