The Emperor's Pants Have No Knees

One day I woke up & went to put on some jeans for the day, and a bad realization occurred - I didn't have any jeans I could wear. All of my blue jeans, including the ones that fit well & were fairly new, suddenly had holes in the knees!

Well, obviously, I can & do wear these on the weekend - but pants with holes aren't especially good for work. The reason for my holey jeans is that I've been spending a lot of my time on the floor on my knees, with my 10 month-old son, Finn.

So, in a way, it sucks that I went through some good jeans so quickly. But on the other hand, I'm glad I'm spending so much time down with the kiddo! As a Dad, seeing the world from his perspective is one of my favorite things to do today!

Is it Jordan or is it Teething?

We have noticed a little something lately with Finn and his tongue. It's always hanging out of his mouth. We are pretty sure he's channeling Michael Jordan and will start dunking the basket ball as soon as he can walk...or could it be teething.

From Bedhead to Babe

Finn was starting to redefine "bedhead," so we decided it was time for his first hair cut.

Luckily our friend Amy has Ninja like hair cutting skills. She worked fast a furiously as Finn screamed and amazingly enough she was able to "take a little off the top."

And now he's redefining the word "babe."

Splish Splash

Finn started swim lessons (there is alot more playing than learning going on). He spent the entire hour kicking and splashing in the water. Brad and I had to take turns holding him to keep from drowning in all of the water she was splashing in our faces.

Definitely a 10!

Some how the bear keeps getting smaller and smaller in these pictures. At ten month's Finn first official word(s) are "Ought Oh." He says it every time he drops something. It has now turned into a game. He drops something, says ought oh, we pick it up and then he drops it again. It was really cute the first 4000 times, but now it's getting a little old. He's also starting to scoot along the furniture and loves to walk around while your holding his hands.

RSV = Really Sucky Virus

Spending time at the hospital with your baby is not fun. Finn contracted RSV and because of his Asthma he ended up in the hospital for four days. He was a little trooper, but it almost broke our hearts to see him so sick. Fortunately, he's doing much better now and we have new treatments to help control his Asthma better so that hopefully we won't have to spend any more time at the hospital.
